Food Safety

Morrison Lamothe Inc.’s food processing facilities are technologically state-of-the-art and comply with the highest standards in food safety.

The two meat production facilities operate under stringent Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines (FSEP – Food Safety Enhancement Program) and are inspected by both the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

We are also CTPAT-recognized (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) and adhere to a Social Responsibility Code of Conduct.
Our programs meet or exceed all regulatory and third-party auditor requirements. Products are on a “positive release” program (products are tested by an independent lab verifying their safety).

Our commitment to food safety ensures the quality and safety of food products produced in our plants.  Employees are trained in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and understand their role in upholding our rigorous food safety standards. Likewise, Morrison Lamothe aligns itself with suppliers that share its uncompromising approach to food safety. Our practices ensure that we produce quality, safe food products for consumers.
